Objective of ProgramTo provide health programs and to raise the physical, mental & spiritual health of American Indians to the highest level possible. To promote the delivery of supportive services, including nutrition services to older American Indians. To provide American Indian children with comprehensive health, educational, nutritional, socialization and other developmental services promoting school readiness. To support employment and training activities for American Indian individuals. To provide grants to states, territories, and tribes to assist needy families with children To provide and operate cost-effective, decent, safe, and affordable housing for low -ncome families To develop viable communities by providing affordable housing & economic opportunity for persons with low to moderate income. To provide food, nutrition, counseling, and access to health services to low-income women, infants and children To increase the availability, affordability, and quality of care to children and to support parents in sustaining economic independence and TANF work provisions |
